It was a nor’easter along the coast of Maine with heavy snow and high winds. It felt like ice was pelting my face and trying to keep myself and my equipment dry was impossible. With crazy wave action we had some very scary moments to say the least!! As cold as it was, it is experiences in nature such as this that make it all worth it!
Note from juror Reid Callanan:
“The eyes are locked on the photographer as the snowy owl floats by in slow motion, wings perfectly splayed, to show off its magnificence. This is a perfectly composed image with a long rock as a leading line at its base and a softly blurred winter backdrop – all placed to center our attention on this haunting creature.” ~ Reid Callanan 2022 Maine Photography Show Juror

Congratulations to all of the photographers who were selected into the show this year, it is an honor to have my work displayed alongside yours.
